Fitz-Hugh and Curtis syndrome.

S Semchyshyn.

Abstract

A review of 124 patients treated for pelvic inflammatory disease revealed 15 cases of presumptive Fitz-Hugh and Curtis syndrome. During the same 12-month period three patients mistakenly thought to have gall bladder disease came to laparotomy, only to be found to have Fitz-Hugh and Curtis syndrome. The subtle presentation of the syndrome is discussed.
