Abstract
An instance of fibrous hamartoma of infancy (FHI) in the perianal region of an 8-mo-old infant, a hitherto unreported location, is described. The majority of the reported cases occur in the torso and upper extremities. The differential diagnostic features which aid differentiating FHI from other conditions is discussed. Although the tumor may recur after excision, a conservative surgical management appears adequate since all reported cases ultimately have proven to have an excellent prognosis.Entities:
