Abstract
The usefulness of mutants in the unraveling of complex, highly organized, membrane-bound processes such as oxidative phosphorylation is illustrated by a study of a single recessive gene mutation in yeast, designated op(1), which has abolished the efficiency in vivo and in vitro of oxidative phosphorylation without impairing the electron transfer.Entities:
