[The role of teichoic acids in the regulation of biochemical processes in microorganisms].

I B Naumova.

Abstract

The role of cell wall teichoic and lipoteichoic acids in the regulation of activity of some autolytic enzymes and in ion exchange, the role of lipoteichoic acids in biosynthesis of cell wall teichoic acids and some other functional features of these compounds in the bacterial cell are discussed.
