Homoreactant: a naturally occurring autoantibody in rabbits.

W J Mandy, L C Kormeier.

Abstract

Homoreactant, a factor found in the serum of every normal rabbit tested thus far, reacts specifically with buried antigenic determinants on the Fab-fragment of papain-digested autologous and homologous gammaG-globulin. It appears that rabbits normally produce naturally occurring autoantibodies.
