[Immunoglobulin content of cervical secretion].

H Donat, S Schiller.

Abstract

The content of immunoglobulins in the cervical mucus has been determined quantitatively by the method of radial immunodiffusion. IgG and IgA has been ascertained in all samples, whereas IgM was not measurable. The concentrations of IgG and IgA in the cervical mucus was compared with those of mucous--membrane and of blood-serum. It was discussed the importance of periodical changes of cervical mucus for the penetration of spermatozoa.
