Retroperitoneal perforation of duodenal ulcer.

J Stürup, D Raahave.

Abstract

Retroperitoneal perforation of a duodenal ulcer occurred in a 51 year female. The patient was seriously ill, but recovered after laparotomy with drainage of an abscess, closure of the duodenum and a gastro-jejunal anastomosis. The diagnosis is difficult to establish because of the anatomical relationships.
