[Preventive effects of gliclazide on the development of cholesterol induced atherosclerosis in rabbits].

Administration of gliclazide inhibited the development of aortic and particularly coronary lesions induced by the cholesterol-containing diet; but it did not noticeably affect the evolution of plasma lipid disturbances.
