Abstract

We report a fatal case of invasive pulmonary aspergilloma (API) in association with an influenza A virus infection, occurring in a patient without any factor generally associated with a lowering of immunocompetence. There are five cases in the literature associating these two infections: the immunosuppressive effect of the influenza virus is possibly responsible for the mycotic invasive mass often encountered in the immunosuppressed.
