Abstract
From a water extract of the Oriental crude drug "ninjin" (ginseng), Panax ginseng roots from Nagano, Japan, five glycans, panaxans Q, R, S, T and U, have been obtained. These constituents displayed marked hypoglycemic action in normal and alloxan-induced hyperglycemic mice.Entities:
