[Possible role of brain-specific proteins S100 in the regulation of phosphorylation-dephosphorylation of endogenous substrates of the nerve tissue].

M A Gruden', A B Poletaev.

Abstract

The effects of brain-specific proteins S100 (BSP S100) and their endogenous protein ligands (both cationic and anionic) on the phosphorylation of macromolecular substrates from rat brain and liver were studied. It was shown that BSP S100 significantly affects both the phosphorylation and dephosphorylation of various substrates, depending on BSP S100 endogenous protein ligands.
