Abstract
Re-ulceration after surgery occurs in 2.2% following resecting procedures, in 12% following vagotomy. 10 to 30% of the re-ulcerations are unresponsive to H2-blocking agents. 70% of all patients develop re-ulceration as medical prophylaxis after re-ulceration is discontinued. The most common reasons for re-ulceration after surgery are incomplete vagotomy after inadequate organ preserving operations and too great remnant after resecting techniques.Entities:
