Abstract
The authors present a case of right parietal pleomorphic xanthoastrocytoma that occurred in a 24-year-old man. The patient was originally operated on in 1966, and at that time the diagnosis of monstrocellular sarcoma was made. The patient is still alive and totally symptom-free. A careful reevaluation of the microscopic findings, including positive glial fibrillary acidic protein staining, led to the definite diagnosis of pleomorphic xanthoastrocytoma.Entities:
