Abstract
Myositis ossificans, an abnormal formation of new bone in an injured muscle, can occur in young athletes involved in contact sports. Recognition and appropriate therapy can reduce associated disability. This report illustrates the condition and reviews the clinical manifestations and available therapeutic modalities.Entities:
