Abstract
The technique of vitreous fluorophotometry is discussed with particular reference to the uncertainty in the measurements resulting from instrumental and biological factors. The methods proposed for reducing the interference from these factors are explained. Various optical systems for carrying out the measurements are described. The suggestion is made that the technique could be much more accurate and safe if fluorescein was replaced by a dye which fluoresced at longer wavelengths and was more rapidly eliminated from the blood.Entities:
