Intersynovial communication between the tendon sheaths of the extensor pollicis longus and extensor carpi radialis brevis muscles.

Abstract

A communication was found between the synovial sheaths of the extensor pollicis longus and the extensor carpi radialis brevis tendons. The opening was at the level of the proximal row of carpal bones and permits passage of synovial fluid between the sheaths of these muscles.
