Abstract
Horseradish peroxidase has been injected into the dorsal lateral geniculate nucleus of macaque monkeys to label ganglion cells of the retina by retrograde axoplasmic transport. Displaced ganglion cells, with somata in the inner nuclear layer and dendrites in the inner plexiform layer, were detected by virtue of their filling with peroxidase-positive granules. These cells were numerous in the peripapillary region, but relatively uncommon elsewhere in the retina.Entities:
