Pupillary dynamics in patients with Meniere's disease.

T Uemura, H Inoue, K Matsunaga.

Abstract

A newly devised pupillograph that can record the pupillary responses of both eyes simultaneously in a supine subject is described. Three patients with Meniere's disease in the attack and quasiattack stages showed a similar abnormality of pupillary light contraction on the affected side, compared with the unaffected side, that disappeared in the interval stage. These results are discussed in regard to the possible cause of Meniere's disease.
