Abstract
Retained foreign bodies and puncture wounds are common injuries to the hand. A detailed history and physical examination prior to treatment are essential. If surgical removal of a foreign body or surgical exploration of a puncture wound is decided upon, it must be performed under adequate anesthesia and tourniquet control.Mesh:
