Therapist-client sexual involvement: a challenge for mental health professionals and educators.

Jacqueline C Bouhoutsos1.

Abstract

Damage to clients caused by sexual involvement with their therapists is a growing concern for the mental health disciplines. Legal systems and professional ethics committees have failed to find ways to prevent, ameliorate, or contain such sexual involvement. Reasons for the failures are explored and alternative models suggested.
