Abstract
Erysipelothrix rhusiopathiae rarely causes bacteremia, and it has never been reported to cause septic shock. A 58-year-old man with fulminant hyperdynamic shock associated with E. rhusiopathiae bacteremia is described. Erysipelothrix must be considered when a patient with an appropriate history presents with septic shock.Entities:
