Apparent holes in rotary shadowed proteins: dependence on angle of shadowing and replica thickness.

D C Neugebauer, H P Zingsheim.

Abstract

The influence of experimental conditions during rotary shadowing on the apparent particle size and the production of apparent holes or channels in the centre of a solid spherical particle are illustrated using ferritin.
