Abstract
Five 9-acridanone-hydrazone compounds were tested against moderately heavy Schistosoma mansoni infections in baboons. They were administered as a single oral dose at a rate of 50 mg/kg body-weight. Compared with results from an untreated control baboon, four of the compounds showed high levels of activity judged by the reduction or elimination of faecal egg production, adult worms and tissue eggs.Entities:
