Abstract
Close contact of patients with bacterial meningitis that is caused by either Haemophilus influenzae type b or Neisseria meningitidis are at an increased risk of developing invasive infections with these bacteria. Chemoprophylaxis with rifampin and immunoprophylaxis with vaccines may prevent some secondary infections.Entities:
