Abstract
The case of a 46-year-old male with syphilitic spinal neuroarthropathy complicated by paraplegia is reported. Marked sclerosis and osteophytes restricted to lumbo-dorsal spine, absence of ligamentous calcification and lack of long standing spinal symptoms in spite of the florid radiologic changes should raise the suspicion of neurogenic spinal arthropathy.Entities:
