Abstract
Electrical stimulation of the fastigial nucleus provoked surface-negative field potentials bilaterally in the cerebral cortical regions around the anterior ectosylvian sulcus (AES) in the cat anesthetized with pentobarbital. Laminar field potential analysis revealed that the active locus for the negative potentials is located within the cortical layer I of the lower bank of the AES, i.e. the insular cortex.Entities:
