Abstract
Light stimulation of rod cells in vertebrate eyes may cause Ca2+ release from the intracellular disks. Radiolabelled tracers show that light causes a small hyperpolarization of intact disk stacks and redistribution of the ions Ca2+ and Cl-.Entities:
