Rheumatoid neck.

J S Marks.

Abstract

Rheumatoid arthritis of the cervical spine may cause spinal cord compression. The diagnosis may be delayed if the neurological features are wrongly attributed to an entrapment neuropathy or rheumatoid peripheral neuropathy. Neurological progression should be treated by a cervical fusion in patients who are otherwise fit.
