Voluntary habitual dislocation of the hip joint in a child.

D Keret, N D Reis.

Abstract

A review of the literature revealed that voluntary habitual dislocation of the hip in children is a rare entity. We encountered the case of a 6-year-old girl with habitual posterior subluxation of the hip. Parental counseling is all that was needed while spontaneous resolution of the condition was awaited.
