Abstract
An ultrathin-layer polyacrylamide gel isoelectric focusing method for typing hemoglobin is described. This method, which uses Pharmalyte pH 6.7-7.7 and an electrode wick distance of 5.0 cm, clearly resolves the A, F, S, C and a number of rare variant allelic products. The technique is ideal for rapid screening of a large number of fresh blood and/or bloodstained samples.Entities:
