Abstract
99mTC-diisopropyl iminodiacetic acid (DISIDA) scintigraphy after oral phenobarbitone treatment accurately indicated bile duct patency or obstruction in 28 of 32 (87%) infants, aged less than 12 weeks, with suspected biliary atresia. This investigation is more rapid than and as accurate as the 131I Rose-Bengal faecal excretion test.Entities:
