Noncolonic diverticular disease.

Abstract

Diverticula occur throughout the gastrointestinal tract. A high index of suspicion is necessary to diagnose and treat complications arising from diverticula. Presented is a review of gastrointestinal diverticular disease exclusive from the more common diverticular disease of the colon.
