Abstract
The authors describe a pregnancy complicated by rhesus sensitization and the May-Hegglin anomaly. The principal objective in caring for the patient was prevention of maternal and fetal hemorrhage. Transfusion of type-specific platelets corrected the patient's abnormal bleeding time. Cesarean section resulted in delivery of a healthy, but thrombocytopenic, infant who subsequently was shown to have the May-Hegglin defect.Entities:
