Abstract
The effect of cyclosporin A administration on diabetes development following multiple low-dose streptozotocin treatment was determined in inbred mice. When given daily at a dose of 12 or 60 mg/kg body weight the drug induced an earlier development of hyperglycemia and led to persistently higher blood glucose levels. Enhancement of diabetes by cyclosporin A was also seen when the drug was given only after termination of treatment with streptozotocin.Entities:
