Rational brain tumor chemotherapy. The interaction of drug and tumor.

D R Groothuis, R G Blasberg.

Abstract

This article demonstrates that drug delivery to brain tumors is a function of both drug properties and tumor properties and that both must be considered in planning chemotherapeutic strategies. The range of variability in drug and tumor properties and the effect of each on drug delivery are illustrated.
