Combination syndrome: a treatment approach.

A method of treating patients who require a complete maxillary denture opposing a mandibular bilateral distal-extension removable partial denture has been described. This technique attempts to minimize the destructive changes seen in these patients by carefully distributing occlusal stress over the hard and soft tissues and by developing an occlusal relationship that is stable and balanced.
