Use of composite resin for restorative and orthodontic correction of anterior interdental spacing.

H O Heymann, H G Hershey.

Abstract

Anterior diastemas are common esthetic problems. With the advent of superior composite resin materials, the acid-etch/composite resin technique can be used to provide a conservative and practical approach to the closure of interdental spacing. Retention of orthodontically closed spaces can also be achieved more easily through the use of resin-bonded lingual retainers.
