Abstract
The effects of hyperbaric oxygen at a pressure of two atmospheres absolute were studied in a group of patients with chronic progressive multiple sclerosis. A slight but statistically insignificant shortening of the visual evoked potential latencies was seen after treatment with hyperbaric oxygen as compared with placebo treatment. The treatment did not appreciably halt the progression of the disease and deferioration occurred more often among the patients in the treatment group than in the control group.Entities:
