Abstract
"Drug holiday," the withdrawal of levodopa for a variable period of time, is a controversial method of treating patients with Parkinson's disease who have levodopa-related complications. Only four studies have been published in which patients were observed for one year or longer. Although it is extremely beneficial for some patients, this treatment provides a sustained one-year benefit for only a minority of patients.Entities:
