Abstract
This article examines the factors to be considered in providing optimal nutritional care to the infant fed human milk. These factors include the nutrient and non-nutrient composition of human milk, nutrient requirements of full-term and premature infants, the timing and need for supplementary or complementary foods, and the role of milk-based formulas.Entities:
