Abstract
Haemophilus influenzae, serotype e, biotype IV, is a rare cause of infection. We studied a 22-year-old white male who developed septicemia and meningitis due to this pathogen. It is most probable that cerebrospinal fluid (CSF) rhinorrhea caused by a defect in the medial sphenoid region provided the portal of entry.Entities:
