Pulmonary dirofilariasis diagnosed by fine needle aspiration biopsy. A case report.

Abstract

A case of pulmonary dirofilariasis in a 62-year-old female was diagnosed by fine needle aspiration biopsy. A review of the literature revealed this to be the first reported case diagnosed by this method. The presence of bilateral lesions in this patient is an uncommon finding for this entity.
