I have attempted to review the pertinent facts concerning circumcision and the proper care of the foreskin with the express purpose of trying to avoid the errors in technique or the mismanagement of the intact foreskin that occur all too frequently. Until parental and societal attitudes change, it is incumbent upon health care professionals to dispense proper care and provide accurate information regarding the prepuce.
