Assessment of psychological dysfunction associated with infertility.

Abstract

An Infertility Questionnaire (IFQ) was developed to measure the specific effects of infertility on three major areas: self-esteem, blame/guilt, and sexuality. The Infertility Questionnaire, possibly in combination with a standard instrument to measure psychological distress, appears to offer a simple method of assessing the emotional impairment that accompanies infertility.
