Abstract
A colorimetric assay for peroxidase has been applied to the detection of eosinophils in bone marrow cultures and tissue cell suspensions. The substrate solution consists of 0.1 mM o-phenylenediamine in 0.05 M Tris-HCl buffer pH 8.0 containing 0.1% Triton and 1 mM hydrogen peroxide. The method is shown to be an easy and reproducible method of detecting eosinophils, with insignificant interference from neutrophils.Entities:
