Abstract
The advantages of preserving the menisci are reduced degenerative changes and improved stability. At long-term follow-up, even arthroscopic partial meniscectomy in the anterior cruciate ligament-deficient knee results in more than twice the incidence of Fairbank's changes compared with a normal meniscus, stable meniscus tears left alone, or meniscus repair.Mesh:
