Abstract
The use of volar advancement flaps is presented for volar oblique amputation of fingertips. Use of a mini-volar flap allows closure of a guillotine amputation that leaves no scar on the pad of the fingertip and has only to be elevated to the axis of rotation of the PIP joint. This procedure decreases the likelihood of dorsal necrosis over the middle phalanx, since the dorsal neurovascular bundle is not encroached upon.Entities:
