Heating contrast media in a microwave oven.

R D Halsell.

Abstract

Use of a conventional microwave oven to heat contrast media is described. Heating of a single 50-ml vial of contrast media in this study took an average of approximately 9 seconds. Heating rate was not affected by concentration of contrast media being heated.
