The inverse problem in MEG studies: an instrumental and analytical perspective.

G L Romani.

Abstract

The present state of the art in the solution of the inverse problem by neuromagnetic measurements, as demonstrated by recent important findings, is encouraging. Nevertheless, significant instrumental and analytical problems still need to be solved, in order to significantly improve the capability of the technique. This paper is aimed at providing a perspective for these problems and their possible solutions.
