Bilateral patellar ligament rupture. A case report.

R N Olen, S Chmell.

Abstract

Patellar ligament ruptures are uncommon injuries; bilateral ruptures are rarely seen. When they do occur they are associated with chronic disease states. A case of a bilateral patellar ligament rupture secondary to trauma in a healthy man is presented. Appropriate management with aggressive surgical repair and rehabilitation are discussed.
